Factory Reset
with the Buttons Restore your XFORGE phone using only its hardware buttons. Useful if you're experiencing issues such as the screen not responding.

This erases everything. All data on your phone will be wiped and the device returned to factory settings. Back up anything you want to keep first.

Turn the phone off

If your phone is on, press and hold the Power button, then tap Power off.

Hold Power + Volume Up

Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up button together for 5 to 10 seconds.

Keep holding until the boot menu appears

Held too long? Start over

If you hold the buttons down for too long, the phone may simply restart. If that happens, no harm done; just try again from Step 1.

Choose Recovery Mode

The boot menu appears. Tap Volume Up to move through the options until [Recovery Mode] is selected, then press Volume Down once to confirm.

“No command” appears

The screen will show the words No command. This is expected, so don't worry, nothing is wrong.

Open the Recovery menu

Press and hold Power + Volume Up together, then quickly press both buttons twice. This opens the Android Recovery menu.

Hold both → double-tap both

Select Wipe data / factory reset

Use the Volume buttons to scroll to Wipe data / factory reset, then press the Power button to confirm.

Confirm Factory data reset

Use the Volume buttons to scroll to Factory data reset, then press the Power button to confirm.

Reset, then reboot

The reset begins. When it's finished, Data wipe complete appears at the bottom of the screen. Scroll to Reboot system now and press the Power button.

One last reminder

A factory reset erases all data on your XFORGE Android smartphone and restores it to factory settings. This cannot be undone, so make sure your photos, contacts, and accounts are backed up before you begin.
